Point Reduction Online

The Online Defensive Driving Course is the easiest way to save your license from suspension in New York. After you have completed the course, we will automatically notify the NYS DMV. The DMV will then reduce 4 points from the accumulated total on your license.

How many points does it take to get my license suspended?

If you receive 11 points in an 18 month period, you will have your license suspended. Below we have provided a chart that lists the number of points you will receive for different violations.

The Online Point Reduction Course will not save your license from mandatory suspensions. These suspensions include receiving 3 speeding tickets in an 18 month period and Drug and Alcohol related convictions.
